It is also warranted against fungal decay for at least 50 years above ground and 25 years in ground or in contact with fresh water. Accoya® has the best thermal insulation properties of any timber. This contributes towards the class-leading A+ energy rating of the Goodwood Fitch ‘Classic’ timber sash window.

Accoya® has solid green credentials. It holds the prestigious Gold-level certification from Cradle to Cradle® and is certified by the sustainable Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Furthermore, Accoya is produced using a non-toxic enhancement process and is CO2 negative over its full life cycle, as well as being non-toxic and 100% biodegradable.
